History of Pabna Medical College
Founded in 2008 to expand medical education in northern Bangladesh
Initially operated from unused buildings of Pabna Mental Hospital
Clinical training began at Pabna General Hospital, located about 5 km away
In 2009, the government allocated 33 acres of land for permanent campus development
A six-storey academic building was constructed and inaugurated in January 2013
In September 2023, the foundation stone for a 500-bed modern hospital was laid by the President of Bangladesh
The institution continues to expand infrastructure and academic capacity
